Jaguar Leasing

Wednesday, January 9th, 2008

In the year 1963, the British car maker Jaguar declared that their company will be producing a luxury sedan to compete against the key position that then was occupied with the popular named Mark II. The year that followed, saw Jaguar S type getting launched into the market. Though the definite intention behind the launch of the Jaguar S type was nothing other than replacing the Mark II in its line up, but the strong reputation and sales of the latter forced the manufacturer to place the all new Jaguar S type into a totally different segment altogether.

Four years post its inception, the production of Jaguar S type was discontinued since the bigger Jaguar XJ6 replaced it. It is indeed after a long hiatus, that the Jaguar S type was revived in the year 2000 by none other than the Ford car makers who is presently the owner of the magnificent British marque.

The revived version of the Jaguar S type shared its liked with the now non functioning Lincoln LS. But the production pipeline was expanded in 2003 with the fully supercharged S type R. The R version by far is the most powerful design ever produced in the S type lineup. The moderate size luxury car along with the R badge is armed with a supercharged 4.2 liter V8 engine unit.

The V8 engine that this Jaguar S type comes bundled is actually capable of producing as much as 390 horsepower giving it a power boost to propel 0 to 60 miles an hour in as low as 5.3 seconds flat. Among the most noticeable features as compared to the conventional S type, the R version of the same has an 18-in alloy wheels and wire mesh grille. The R badge is clearly visible on the lid of the boot and both the front wings of the same.

Keeping aside the great look and a powerful design, the Jaguar S typecomes blended with features like Dynamic stability control. It is also known as Electronic Stability control which reduces the risk of the driver to lose control over his vehicle. It automatically adjusts the speed and applies brake when it analyses that the power is unevenly flowing at any of the wheels, thus maximizing the balance of the car on the road. Apart from this intelligent feature there is one more that comes clubbed with the R version of the S type. That is, it has an active suspension system which administers the performance and keeps controls over the components such as Jaguar struts and the shock absorber.

Not to forget that all R variant of the S type also comes along with an adaptive cruise control system. The laser technology has been used behind this feature of the car. The car would maintain a pre set distance between itself and the object in front of it. It automatically gets activated when the preset speed is achieved and when it senses an impending accident, it automatically applies the brakes and the stops the vehicle, thus making it safer than any other car in its segment.

This car could be an obvious choice if you are looking for the safety of your family. Even if you cannot afford to buy one, it’s worth hiring one for your family. Trust me, its well worth the money and the safety after all.

Taking a look over the Volkswagen Golf Article

Friday, January 4th, 2008

Made available in three trims, the 2006 Volkswagen Golf is a vehicle that has the capacity of five passengers maximum. This vehicle sports four doors and is a family sedan. Its trims range from the GL 2.0 sedan to the GLS 1.9 TDI. When this vehicle was first introduced, the GL 2.0 sedan came equipped with a standard 2.0 liter, I4 engine that could produce 115 horsepower, thus taking 24 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway. Standard is a five-speed manual transmission with overdrive, and given as an option is a four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive. On the other hand, the GLS 1.9 TDI comes with the standard engine that is 1.9 liter, I4 with a production of 100 horsepower. It is a turbo diesel engine with overdrive as standard. It can take 37 mpg in the city while 44 mpg max for highway driving and cruising.

The 2006 Volkswagen Golf has been made available with a hatchback version of the Volkswagen Jetta sedan. Both of these vehicles have the same design generation. The sporty GTI is a hatchback with two doors. The Volkswagen Golf offers GL and GLS trims with a 115 horsepower and 4 cylinder engine. These vehicles come with standard anti lock four wheel disc brakes, front torso side airbags, head-protecting curtain side airbags, traction control, and an anti skid system.

In truth, the 2006 Volkswagen Golf has already been on sale in Europe for eighteen months before it was introduced in United States showroom. In comparison, the Volkswagen Golf and the Volkswagen Jetta essentially is the same car from its parts like the front bumper up to the third roof pillar. What differs is that the Jetta’s rear window drops down to the trunk lid while as in the case of the Golf, its roof continues further towards the back of the vehicle, with hatchback access made from the rear. This vehicle carries more cargo volume, and better access to storage space. And, yes, the Volkswagen Golf costs much less than the Volkswagen Jetta.

As per the Volkswagen Golf’s predecessors, this new one is 2.3 inches longer, one inch wider, and 1.5 inches taller that has paved the way for more space in its interior. This new vehicle also carries with it crash protection that highlights front, side impact, and head protection airbags that are standards for this model. There are also redundant controls for the stereo and climate adjustments on the steering wheel hub. The gauges are also trimmed with chrome rings as well as the cabin which is trimmed with aluminum. As per the Volkswagen’s seats, they are made to be hefty and well bolstered.

In a nutshell, although the Volkswagen Golf has its low points like a low acceleration, and less automatic-transmission performance, this vehicle still outshines because of its spacious cargo room, great build quality, excellent fuel economy, comfortable ride, excellent visibility and quality interior materials.

Audi RS6 Avant Article

But folks, I bet, you can find out that this four-wheeler thing is surely going to drive you crazy. You might say this is the same Audi S6 version with little twists and turns, but I tell you what, it is fully loaded for performance. When you desire of getting a joyride with your family on a holiday, the Audi RS6 Avant is the next best thing to have happened to you. And this is no joke folks.

Take a close look at the hood, you will find a V-10 engine derived from the likes of Lamborghini for direct fuel injection. And not to neglect those two turbo chargers, mind you it jumps from 435 horsepower to a mind blowing 550 horsepower in a blink of an eye. You would still say you don’t want a drive!! I am sure you are in mood for some fun now and if I am not wrong, you must be thinking to take a test drive and I tell you what, when you like it, get an Audi on rent for yourself if you don’t plan to buy it right away, and enjoy spending quality time driving your family on weekends.

Okay let me tell you as far as the features of this “fast and furious” goes it has a Tiptronic transmission as well as that special Audi Quattro. While the R6 would have made it from zero to sixty miles in a meager 5.1 seconds, the RS6 Avant has slashed it down to 4 seconds flat to hit the 60 mile mark. And guess what, this car comes without a speed restrictor. That means, it can well go beyond and perform steadily at 155 mph carp. With the suspension just sitting firm at its place, it makes more sense to get a car like this for your family. The part of this brilliantly designed package also includes well ventilated brakes and ceramic rotators.

Well, with all that said and done don’t think that you will have to sacrifice the luxury and the comforts that comes with the brand Audi. The plush nappa leather interiors of those sporty seats sets the mood for a great outing, with carbon fiber trim and shift paddles are made of all aluminum. The dashboard is decked up better than the older version, R6 and the steering wheel is significantly a flat bottom one.

Of course, as the saying goes quality comes for a price and here Audi RS6 Avant is no exception. The price slightly falls under the $100,000 tag though, nevertheless it does what it says it will do. In spite of the hefty sum involved to own this “furious wonder on wheels” still it makes sense considering the amount of space, comfort, safety and luxury that comes bundled with it. For your family it just might be the next family wagon, but for you, I bet it will be an all time passion. And the best part is, you can live your passion without burning your pocket. Just get one on hire today.
