Car Leasing and Log Books - Explained

Sometimes when you lease a car, it is fairly normal not to recieve the logbook. In the long run, weather you get one or not depends on the following.

Purchase Contract

Such as a PCP or Hire Purchase, you should recieve the log book within 12 months. If you havent had it within 9 months, its time to call the leasing company and find out whats going on.

Hire Contract

Such as contract hire, or PCH. It is highly likely that you will never recieve the log book, and the tax disc will turn up just before its due. This is perfectly normal and should cause any worry.
